Local player scoring goals for England

Jess Park netted 5 times in October for England Under 17’s. Jess scored a hat-trick against Latvia and 2 goals against Scotland in the Euro Group Two qualifiers for next May’s finals in Lithuania.

Jess has seen her talent nurtured at York City’s Regional Talent Club, and has been part of the talent pathway for the last six years.

The Brough-based ace is now poised to join reigning Women’s Super League Champions Manchester City.

The RTC’s technical programme is led by Adrian Costello, is delighted by the progress made by Park.

‘Jess is a once in a generation player, Costello enthused. ‘We’ve got other players who are good enough to play for England who have come through the Regional Talent Club but Jess’ attitude commitment and everything she does on and off the field mark her out as a future international senior player and I’m immensely proud of her achievements.’

More East Riding players from the York Regional Talent Club are now on the pathway to National honours with Abigail Wallace, Megan Calvert Harley Skinner selected for the Regional Development squads.

This is fantastic news to hear that local players are progressing along the England Talent Pathway and now signing for Women’s Super League Teams.

We wish Jess all the best for her career at Manchester City and are proud that she is flying the flag for East Riding in the Super League and for England.
