EAST RIDING FA COACHING CONFERENCE

We are delighted to announce that the East Riding FA Coaching Conference is now confirmed for Monday 26 February 2024 at the University of Hull.

The focus of this year’s conference which is open to all current and aspiring coaches is to inspire, engage and educate with attendees hearing from people who have been involved at every level of football.

Our keynote speakers include Rebecca Garlick who is the FA National Coach Development Lead for Women and Girls Football, Brentford FC Technical Director Lee Dykes, former Hull City Head Coach and England International Nick Barmby and Football Mental Health Alliance Founder Danny Matharu.

Attendees will learn about Talent Identification and how it can be used in grassroots football, why it’s important for grassroots football coaches to prioritise their mental health and what the journey from player to Head Coach looks like.

There will also be a discussion on some of the differences coaches may encounter when working with girls in youth football and what tactics can be used to help retain female players through coaching.
