Volunteer Match Day Reporters Required

East Riding FA are seeking volunteer match day reporters for the 2023 / 24 season.

The post holders would be responsible for reporting on our County Cup fixtures throughout the season with match day reporters also deployed to other grassroots football fixtures as and when required.

This season will see 13 County Cup competitions take place in East Riding with these ranging from U14 girls to the prestigious Senior Mens Cup. We want to shine a spotlight on the teams, players and match officials who participate in these fixtures and bring to life the magic of the county cups.

Fixtures take place on Saturdays and Sundays with the Finals taking place midweek in May 2024.

Match reporters will be responsible for sourcing the team line ups, producing a match report and getting quotes from team players and / or management. Match reports will be published on the County FA website and through our various social media channels with the match reporter credited.

This a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is seeking to gain more experience of writing match reports and would suit people who have a strong interest in football.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age and able to provide their own transport to games. Reasonable expenses will be paid.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding volunteers will need to complete a DBS check.

To an express interest or to find out more about this exciting opportunity then please contact Participation and Communications Officer Chris Johnson via email -
