England Men's Deaf National Team to play North Ferriby Football Club

The England Men's National Team will be visiting the region for the very first time in July to take on local side North Ferriby FC in a prestigious warm up game.

The game will take place on Saturday 22 July with a 3.00pm kick off at The Dransfield Stadium and forms part of the England teams preparations ahead of jetting off to compete in the World Deaf Football Championships in Malaysia during September.

Les Hare, North Ferriby Chairman, said: "It is such an incredible privilege to be given this opportunity to showcase a full National Team, and in particular, raise the profile of football for those with a hearing disability. Accordingly, we will make the fixture as inclusive and affordable as possible with admission prices of just £5 for adults, £3 for concessions (over 65 and under 18) and U12’s free when accompanied by an adult. As always, there will be free admission granted to the disabled and their carers”.

Last time out, the England Men's Deaf Team ran out 3-0 winners against Germany at Telford in front of 1,000 spectators.

John Suddards, East Riding FA Chairman, said: "We are delighted that the England Men's Deaf Team have chosen to play one of the county's premier men's side and I'm sure it will prove to be a fantastic encounter for both teams. We are firmly committed to increasing the amount of disabled people who are playing football in East Riding and we hope that this fixture will inspire more disabled people to take advantage of the fantastic opportunities that currently".
