Guidance on the playing of football fixtures on The Coronation Weekend | 6-8 May 2023

The Coronation of His Majesty, King Charles III will be held on Saturday 6 May 2023, and the events of that weekend will mark a historic moment for the country.

There will be a number of matches scheduled to take place across the football pyramid over this weekend, and the FA recognise that some participants may wish to watch and celebrate the first Coronation for seventy years.

Whilst there will be no restrictions on playing football, we would be supportive of Leagues and Clubs who wish to consider this when scheduling their matches over this weekend.
