Upcoming Changes - Soccer Saturday

We are delighted to announce a new simplified method of booking a place at our popular Men City Soccer Saturday recreational football sessions.

Coming in to effect from Saturday 19th March our Soccer Saturday kick about will now no longer operate on a turn up and play basis with all participants required to book their place prior to attending using our simple to use Eventbrite booking system. The amount of people permitted to attend will be limited and people who have not pre booked will not be allowed to participate in the session.

The changes are in response to the varied number of people who attend the session each week, the amount of people who turn up post the 9am start time and the amount of time that is wasted as a consequence of having to change the team formations during the session.

The new format will save on the amount of time that is required to set the kick about up, it will guarantee how many people are going to attend each week and it will mean that teams can be pre selected based on who has booked on. There will also be a slight increase to the cost of attending the session with it going up by 50p to £2.50.

This means that Saturday 27th February is the last time that you can 'turn up and play' with Soccer Saturday not taking place on Saturday 5th and Saturday 12th March. The first session with the new booking system in place will be Saturday 19th March, 9 -10am.
