East Riding FA Casual Football League

TEAMS BEING SOUGHT FOR THE SECOND SEASON OF THE eAST rIDING fa cASUAL lEAGUE.

Launched back September 2021 the league aims to cater for the growing number of teams who play either recreationally or to raise money for charity. Over the last two years we have seen an increase in people who for whatever reason are unable to commit to playing in our existing league structure. As a result there is now a number of teams set up to provide football opportunities for those who want to play on a casual basis.

The East Riding FA Casual Football League will see teams compete in a league structure with monthly fixtures. All games will be played at the University of Hull on the last Sunday of each month with fixtures kicking off at either 3pm or 5pm.

Games will be played under the standard code of rules and all teams must be affiliated to the East Riding FA. Referees will also be appointed centrally with all fixtures and results hosted on the FA Full Time website.

Teams will only be permitted to enter on the basis that they are not part of any existing East Riding FA affiliated league or competition. The league entry fee is £35 with the match fee for each fixture set at £45 per team. The match payments from each cover the venue hire and referee fee's.

Teams playing in the current season include Men City, Lads FC, Sands United, Cast United, St Andrews, North Hull Sports Network FC and Hull University Teaching Hospital.

The new season is set to kick off in July 2022 with places limited.

Clubs and Participation Development Officer Chris Johnson said; "We are delighted that we can now offer all our affiliated teams a competition format that suits their playing needs. The East Riding FA Casual Football League will provide a competitive structure for all our recreational and charity football teams whilst complimenting our mid week 11-a-side Floodlight Football League. Playing once a month also means that teams can continue to arrange fixtures against sides from within and outside the area."
