Record number of clubs receive funding from the Football Foundation
£702,685 worth of investment secured this year for facility and pitch improvements
The East Riding FA is proud to announce that a record number of clubs in our region have secured Football Foundation grant funding for either ‘on the pitch’ improvements such as grass pitch maintenance, machinery and equipment, goalposts or for ‘off the pitch’ developments such as clubhouse upgrading.
Since the start of the year the East Riding FA area has secured a grant value of £702,683 with project value now standing at over £1 million!
Clubs to benefit from the funding include Bridlington Town who are now able to build a brand new clubhouse ready for the 2020 / 2021 season, South Cave Sporting who will be able to carry out vital pitch maintenance works and Hessle Sporting Club who will be able to improve the clubs playing surfaces.
It's not just the regions bigger clubs who stand to benefit though, Fulford FC have been successful in their application to purchase essential machinery, Priory FC are now able to purchase new goalposts and the Wilberfoss, Kexby and Newton Playing Fields Association will now be able to provide safer access to their facility.
Club volunteers have played an important role in securing this funding as have officers from our local authority partners and we are indebted to the local grassroots football community for helping us achieve a record number of investments.
