Female Friendly Clubs Workshop
The workshop has been postponed due to the current situation. We will look to rearrange once this is possible!
The workshop will provide practical advice To Help Develop an Environment That Encourages Women and Girls To get involved in football.
Do you want to grow new girls' teams at your club? Do you know what an ideal female friendly environment looks like?
This interactive workshop is aimed at both club committee members and coaches and will provide those that attend with practical advice to help create the right environment at your club to grow female participation. It will help coaches, managers and committee members to understand off-pitch and on-pitch considerations and discuss real life case study examples to enable clubs to build on their own game plan for growth.
The workshop will be aimed at clubs who do not have a female section or those who wish to grow their women and girls section.
The session will be delivered by FA Consultants with support from Kirsty Leake, the East Riding FA Women and Girl’s Football Development Officer.
Food and refreshments will be supplied on the evening. So attendees can enjoy a light tea and a drink prior to the workshop starting.
On the evening we will be joined by a local Charter Standard Club who will take part in a Q&A about their journey in growing and developing female opportunities. They will share how they got to where they are today and share the challenges they encountered along the way, share ideas and be on hand to answer any questions about their experiences.
Kirsty Leake Women and Girls Football Development Officer said:
‘The workshop aims to support clubs in growing more female provision. It will provide practical advice, on and off field support and give clubs ideas on how to kick start more female activity at their club. It’s also a great opportunity to network with other clubs, to discuss and share ideas and help grow female football within the East Riding.’
Places at the workshop will be limited to two per club.
