Hull city Academy Coaching Workshops
Free workshops for grassroots football coaches.
Hull City Academy are holding two workshops specifically aimed at Grassroots Football coaches working with players in the U9 - U11 and U12 - U15 age range.
Both workshops will be delivered by the Academy's Coaches and Sport Science staff with the club offering an insight into their philosophy on player development. This will be supported by practical demonstrations and sports science input with topics such as 'how to incorporate athletic development drills into warm ups' included.
Each workshop will start with the Academy's Lead Foundation Phase Coach & Head of Recruitment outlining the clubs philosophy and structure at the U9 - U11 and U12 - U15 age group level. This will then be followed by a presentation from the Academy's Sport Science Staff outlining how the Academy encourage the athletic development of players at each group through the use of engaging games and drills.
The first workshop will see learners invited to view an Academy training session involving players at the U9 and U10 age groups and the second workshop will see an Academy training session involving players from the U12 and U13 age group. Each workshop will start with the coach discussing the methodology behind the session and what they hope to achieve from it.
Once the practical session is completed, the session coach will hold a debrief followed by a Q&A where learners can ask questions related to the session, or around general issues faced when coaching at these age groups.
