Rainbow Laces Weekend
Rainbow laces weekend for East Riding FA takes place on the weekend 7th December and 8th December and we are looking for teams and referees across the county to wear rainbow laces in their respective matches.
Rainbow Laces is a campaign led by Stonewall UK promoting LGBT+ equality within sports as homophobia, biphobia and transphobia remain an underlying issue.
All around the UK, people have been wearing rainbow-coloured shoelaces to show their support for LGBT+ people in sports and the 7th and 8th December will see grassroots football in East Riding show its support on a dedicated weekend.
We have 300 pairs of laces to give away to teams and referees in East Riding on a first come first served basis.
Teams and referees can apply for free rainbow laces by completing the forms below.
Alternatively teams and referees can purchase their own through LGBT+ charity Stonewall UK by clicking here.
