GDPR- What does it mean for Football?

Further to the direct communication to all Clubs and Leagues by the FA in February, including the guidance provided by Muckle LLP, we wanted to remind clubs, leagues and competitions about the new data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into force on the 25th of May this year.

Since February, The East Riding FA has been working with Muckle LLP to produce templates that are easy to customise and that will help clubs, leagues and competitions work towards compliance, ahead of the regulation coming into force.

Muckle LLP has produced two templates specifically aimed at Clubs and Leagues respectively, which have been distributed by the FA centrally.
