East Riding FA Summer Grassroots Football Coaches Workshop
We are delighted to announce that the East Riding FA Summer Grassroots Football Coaches workshop will take place on Sunday 25th August at the University of Hull.
The focus of this Summer Workshop which is open to all current and aspiring coaches is to learn about the principles of neuroscience and how understanding neuroscience can aid you in your role as a grassroots football coach.
Led by Norway FA Women's Team Human Performance Consultant Sally Needham attendees will observe practical demonstrations and interactive theory which will inspire, engage and educate.
The core topics of the workshop will be:
- Understanding of neuroscience – how the brain and body works together.
- Understanding behaviours linked to neuroscience.
- How language and the environment you create can impact your players.
- The role of the coach.
Sally is a UEFA A licensed Coach and has previously held roles at the FA, the Wales Women's National team and Sheffield United Academy where was the Human Development and Performance Culture Lead.
Sally will be supported during the workshop by former Manchester City Academy and Stoke City First Team coach Mark Burton.

The fee for attending the conference is £10 with attendees provided with lunch, refreshments and a gift.
