Fun Filled FA Girls Football Week

Last week saw the second girls week of 2017 take place nationally.

Here in the East Riding, Schools, Clubs, Colleges and Universities got involved & delivered activities for females to support getting more girls involved in football.

Across the East Riding lots of schools delivered activities from, lunchtime sessions, football festivals, tournaments between local school  and our Women and Girls Officer also delivered sessions during curriculum time.

Local clubs also got involved by taking part in the monthly fixtures for the Under 8's run by the East Riding Girls League and AFC Preston held two open club sessions during the week to encourage more girls to join their club.

Hull University and Bishop Burton College also got involved delivering Turn up and Play sessions, Soccercise sessions and even UV football.

As well as all these fun activities, there were also sessions delivered at Goals Hull, a weekly Wildcats session in Bridlington, the annual EFL Competition run by Tigers Trust and a CPD Workshop to support teachers and those working in schools around delivering football activities to girls.
