Launched back in 2016 close to 60 teams and nearly 1000 players have now participated in the competition with many people enjoying the flexible format and the opportunity to play 11-a-side football during the week.
Initially created to give men who can't commit to playing Saturday or Sunday league football the opportunity to play 11-a-side football the league has gone on to welcome players who are returning to the game after a long break and casual players who can not commit to weekly fixtures. As well as groups of friends who fancy a more organised kick about the league has also welcomed existing Saturday and Sunday league teams who wish to play instead of train and charity football teams who want regular weekly fixtures.
Typically a season will last around 16 weeks with the league split into two divisions. Promotion and relegation takes place at the end of each season and all teams are entered into the Floodlight Cup with the final taking place at one of the regions premier non league football grounds. Uniquely games last just 50 minutes instead of the traditional 90 with fixtures taking place on neutral 3G floodlit pitches. That means there is no home or away fixtures and no need to source a referee.
All teams need to do is turn up on the night and play!
