Over the festive period we received the devastating news that local match official and Hull and District Youth League player Thomas Dennett had sadly passed away.

Thomas started his grassroots football career with North Ferriby FC aged just six years old and represented the club at every age group through to under 17s. Thomas also proudly played for South Cave Sporting and was renowned for his versatility and tough tackling. 

A popular figure amongst his team mates Thomas was a constant source of enthusiasm and could always be relied upon to bring joy to others.

More recently Thomas qualified as a match official and refereed games with integrity and consistency.

Thomas will be missed by everyone in the East Riding grassroots football community with the East Riding FA extending its sincere condolences to his family, friends and team mates
