New Under 21's Division Launched
New Under 21's Division Launched.
The MKM Sunday Football League in conjunction with the Hull and District Youth League and the East Riding County FA are proud to announce the launch of a new Sunday division for players aged 21 and under.
After the delivery of a very successful U19’s division by the Hull and District Youth League the creation of an U21 division is seen as the next logical step in ensuring that as many players as possible transfer from youth to adult football. The hope is that the U21 division will ensure a smooth conversion from the Hull and District Youth Football League whilst also providing a competitive level of football that will ready the players for the transition into full adult football. To aid the transition all teams will be able to play two players aged 21 and over.
Chris Johnson, Clubs and Participation Development Officer at the East Riding County FA said “The proposed U21 division is a fantastic example of two leagues working together to ensure that as many players as possible transition into adult football. Our hope is that a number of teams take advantage of this fantastic offer and support us in our quest to increase the amount of adult players playing the game”.
The Fees for this division will be in line with the current MKM Sunday League entry fee which is currently set at £70 per season. Player registration fees are £2 per player.
Each team will also receive five free training bibs for use by substitutes on match days. In addition to this each team will also have their player insurance subsidised by £13 (refunded via player registrations).
The HSFL is a Charter Standard League and all new teams will be given one year’s grace to achieve Charter Standard status. The league will support teams in any way it can to achieve this and will also refund the cost of sitting the FA First Aid Course should it be required.
