Female Coaches Support Network Launches
At the East Riding County FA we are conscious of how we support female coaches within the County.
Along with FA Mentors, Jamie Barnwell-Edinboro, Aidee Costello and County Coach Developer Suzanne Smith we decided to create a support network for female coaches.
The idea of this network was for it to be shaped and led by the coaches themselves to meet their needs.
This Monday was the first meeting of the network, the network is open to all female coaches within the County. We wanted to create a group that included a range of coaches with a variety of experiences and qualifications so we can utilise the knowledge within the County.
Over a cuppa the coaches had the opportunity to network with other coaches, ask questions, raise issues, and discuss their involvement in football.
The first get together was success with coaches from across the County attending.
From this initial meeting the coaches have decided that we will meet on a quarterly basis, and run workshops as needed after discussions at these meetings. Some coaches have already utilised the FA Mentors and have them supporting them in their club environment with sessions and coaching support.
The next meeting will be in January, date to be confirmed.
If you are a female coach within the East Riding, and would like to be involved in this Network then please come to the next meeting in January.
