FA Girls Football Week has Kicked Off

The FA's Girls' Football Week: Euro Celebrations has begun!

This year the FA are running Girls' Football Week alongside the Women's European Championships!

The Lionesses will be competing in the Championships in the Netherlands. The competition started yesterday (16th July) and will run through till the 6th August. England will face Scotland, Spain and Portugal in their group matches.

So why not use this week to help get more girls involved in football?

Could your club run and activity during these exciting few weeks? Your club/organization could use this as an opportunity to get more girls playing football this summer, and use is as a tool to recruit more players at your club.

You can register your on-going activity as part of the week, or maybe start something brand new to kick start some girls football. The week is a great chance to use the European Championships and the Lionesses to inspire new players.

To ensure all activities are fun and safe for everyone involved your organisation must adhere to The FA Safeguarding policy and procedures. For further guidance on this please visit www.TheFa.com/football-rules-governance/safeguarding

Register your activity today!  The form will take just 5 -10 minutes to complete, register here.

Once you have completed the form your local County FA will be notified, the County FA will verify your activity and you will be emailed a link to download a guide to FA Girls’ Football Week Euro Celebrations and lots of other resources to support you.

If you have any questions regarding the week and how you might get involved, please get in touch at info@FAGirlsFootballWeek.com
