 The game had been rather uneventful up until the 9th minute where Kingston Tigers came close to scoring but hit the crossbar, Hull United responded with a quick counter attack which amounted to nothing. With a fair bit of end to end play Hull United put the ball in the back of the net after 13 minutes with a rather scrappy goal which was eventually put over the line by Joe Woods and the goal was awarded by assistant Mark Shimmin. 1-0, Hull United.

After the goal was scored Hull United turned up the heat with another promising counter attack which amounted to nothing. Kingston Tigers soon responded and after 20 minutes just brushed a shot wide of the post. Just a minute later Hull United had another shot on goal which was kept out by a good save from Kingston Tigers goal keeper Sam Kay.

A few minutes later Tigers are awarded a free kick which just goes over the bar. It was a period of good possession for Kingston Tigers as they’re awarded a corner which was cleared well by Hull United the rebounding shot went just of the post. Hull United have a good period of possession and made a promising attack but the shot was put just wide of the post.    

Half-time: Hull United 1-0 Kingston Tigers

The second half kicks off and was pretty uneventful until the 50th minute when Kingston Tigers made a promising attack but the shot was put just over the crossbar. And again in the 53rd minute Kingston Tigers have another good attack which amounts to nothing.

After 60 minutes Hull United come back into the game with a strong counter attack but the shot hits the post. Kingston Tigers take their chances on a missed chance and manage to catch Hull United on the counter.  The game still remains 1-0.

The game remained fairly uneventful with a lot of end to end play until the 72nd minute when Kingston Tigers hit the post for the second time in the game. The game was again uneventful as the game reached its closing stages.

The referee calls time on a clean game. Hull United are the winners of the 2015-16 Bluefin U14 Boys Cup.
