Affiliation

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IN ORDER TO AFFILIATE TO THE EAST RIDING COUNTY FA FOR THE 2019 - 20 SEASON.

At the start of each season, ALL clubs playing in FA sanctioned leagues and competitions must affiliate to their local County Football Association.

For a refresher on how to affiliate, please click here.

East Riding FA also requires all clubs to have Public Liability Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance cover in place.
Public Liability Insurance can be purchased through the affiliation process at a great price!
Personal Accident Insurance must be in place for each team and can also be taken out through Bluefin by clicking here.

Public Liability Insurance is PER CLUB.  You can purchase this yourself but if you do then it must meet the FA requirements and you MUST upload a copy when completing the affiliation process..

All clubs need:
Secretary (someone to arrange fixtures, keep records, deal with correspondence)
Treasurer (look after the bank account, manage the cash flow)
Chairperson (someone to act as an overall manager to the club)

In all Youth Football Clubs the posts of Secretary, Chairman, Treasurer and Welfare Officer must be held by more than one individual. One person may hold two of these roles, but not four.  In addition for Clubs with youth teams, each of the above individuals must complete a safeguarding awareness module.  You will not be able to submit your affiliation unless this has been done.  The course can be accessed by clicking here

As a precondition of affiliation, Youth Clubs will need to have a designated and qualified Club Welfare Officer. This person MUST have completed and hold a valid, in-date FA CRC disclosure check along with the relevant Welfare Officer and Safeguarding Children training.
Please note that non-FA CRC checks cannot be accepted. The Club Welfare Officer is responsible for the implementation of safeguarding policies and ensuring all volunteers/officials have the necessary qualifications and CRC checks in place.  For information about being a Welfare Officer and also how to book on to a Welfare Officer’s Course click here.

Youth Clubs must also make sure that ALL managers, assistant managers and coaches have a valid, in-date FA CRC disclosure check. If the positions are held by people who do not hold a valid, in-date CRC, we will not be able to affiliate your club until a time when these conditions have been met.
