What We Do

East Riding FA was formed in 1902 as the governing body for football in this area. As guardians of the National Game our responsibility is to Govern, Develop and Support local football. We want to ensure our great game is available to all sections of society.

Governance provides the infrastructure that allows the game to take place sanctioning football in accordance with the rules of the National Governing Body (The FA).  We operate a fair and transparent disciplinary system dealing with cautions, sending offs and misconduct alongside a detailed programme to recruit, retain and appoint match officials. We administrate a range of County Cup competitions to offer participants at all levels the opportunity to experience “The Magic of the cup”.

Our Football Development Programme aims to increase participation and raise standards. The FA Charter Standard Programme is essential to provide the structure for clubs to flourish in well administered leagues. We run a comprehensive learning programme including Coach Education, Child Welfare and 1st Aid which trains over 1000 people annually.

We also offer support to individuals and partner organisations to enhance their football experience they include accessing funding to support facility development through to providing young volunteers with accredited learning opportunities.

We care passionately about local football and working with our customers to provide a structure that enables players, volunteers, coaches and referees the opportunity to participate in a safe and enjoyable environment. We have developed effective communication channels to include a new website, digital publications and social media including Facebook and Twitter.
