The Introductory Module offers an opportunity for football coaches to be supported in developing their knowledge of how to operate as a football coach within the expectations of the game, their club, the players involved and others affected by the coaching process. The course aims to provide candidates who have an ongoing involvement in coaching young football players with an opportunity to improve their knowledge and confidence.
Chas Thornton Head Coach at Elvington Harriers FC chose to run the course at his club after attending the course himself at Stokesley in North Riding,
“The Age Appropriate Introduction that I attended at Stokesley had a huge impact on my coaching approach, and although I had introduced some of the methodology at the Club, I felt it would greatly enhance understanding if the Course was professionally delivered.”
Feedback following the course has been very positive. Chas highlighted that the attendance at the Introductory Course held on-site by the ERCFA showed the commitment by Team Managers and Coaches to young player development.
