Victoria Dock Rangers U9 celebrates after being selected to go and represent the County at the National McDonalds Mini Soccer festival in London and play at Wembley

The annual Charter Standard McDonalds mini soccer festival took place this year at Beverley Longcroft school with 10 teams registering to take part.

Each team got the opportunity to play fixtures against other Charter Standard teams, some of whom they wouldn’t normally play during the regular season.

No results or league tables were kept, there were no trophies to play for and this did not detract from some fantastic football being played in a competitive but sporting manner.

After the fixtures had been completed, a draw was made by Adam Lowthorpe, County Development Manager from all the teams attending to see who would go on to represent the County at the National McDonalds mini soccer festival at Wembley in London.

The atmosphere was tense as all the teams waited for Adam to make the draw and announce who would be going to play on the pitch at Wembley Stadium.

Congratulations go to Victoria Dock Rangers who were the fortunate team to be chosen and also to the other participating teams who all contributed greatly to a very enjoyable day.
