My new role means I will be coaching and aiming to develop Women and Girls football along with disability football in the East Riding. The role involves promoting female football to increase participation and raise further awareness of how to get involved in football. Alongside this the aim is to increase the opportunities for disabled footballers within the area.
Previously I have coached in many different areas, including schools, clubs, college and Girls’ Centre of Excellence football. I currently hold the Level 3 Certificate in Football Coaching and have completed the Youth Award Module One. I have being coaching for approximately 5 to 6 years. I started my coaching at a voluntary level, from here I went on to coach more regularly and worked my way through the coaching qualifications.
In leading up to this post I have studied a Sports Diploma at Bishop Burton College and supported this with coaching in clubs and schools. More recently I have worked with the East Riding Skills Coaches identifying how they go about delivering their programme to 5-11 year olds.
Within my role I will be supporting clubs, schools and community organisations in developing and strengthening their current situations.
