Match Sanctioning

All matches, other than League sanctioned matches must be sanctioned by the County FA.

Under the current Football Associations Rules, you MUST have ALL friendly matches sanctioned by the East Riding County FA, and Registered Referees CANNOT referee unsanctioned matches.

We can only provide a sanction number if we have received the match details at our office in writing two days prior to the match date. We will NOT accept telephone applications. This can be done by Email, fax (01482 221169) or in person at the ERCFA Headquarters, Roy West Centre, 220 Inglemire Lane, Hull, HU6 7TS.

The details we require are as follows;

  • Name of Club Applying for Sanction (including age groups)
  • Name of Opposition
  • Venue
  • Date of Match
  • Kick-Off Time
  • Purpose of the match - i.e. friendly, charity etc.

You will then be granted a Sanction Number which then covers both teams and the referee for Public Liability Insurance purposes.

One Day Competitions

You MUST have one day/annual competitions sanctioned by the ERCFA You MUST complete and return a small sided competition form and return it to our office at least 28 days prior to the event. Again these forms can be requested via Email, telephone (01482) 221158 or fax (01482) 221169.

Alternatively you can download the Competition Form at the bottom right of this page under 'Related Documents'
