The East Riding Women’s Representative Squad experienced a historic win at the beginning of the month with a 2-1 victory over the West Riding. East Riding opened the scoring with a goal from Nikki Ridley after 30minutes. West Riding levelled the score 10mins into the second half and came close to taking lead with a shot that was headed off the line by Suey Smith.
The game remained close with both teams having several chances but a goal from Mel Halstead after 80mins saw the result fall to the East Riding. The next game to be played will be away to the North Riding on Tuesday 4th November.
