East Riding FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

Women & Girls Focus Group

In response to the feedback from a Women’s and Girls consultation event, the East Riding County FA have established a Women’s and Girls Focus group to meet on a quarterly basis to address all issues relating to the development of women’s and girls football. The meetings are open to all those involved in women’s and girls football and provides clubs, leagues, managers and coaches with an opportunity to highlight any issues or concerns that they feel are present within female football whilst enabling me to support clubs and leagues as much as possible. All points raised at the meeting are noted and forwarded to the relevant league committees for their discussion and where issues fall directly under my work programme it is my intention to address these and where possible resolve them. These meetings have also played a major role in shaping the County Plan and subsequent allocation of funding for the following season and will continue to do so in future years.

Topics that have been discussed in previous meetings have included:

• Specific areas of growth
• U10 development
• U8 development centres
• Dropout of players 16+
• Coaching courses
• Recruitment of players
• Volunteers

The presentations and reviews from the previous two meetings can be found under the ‘related documents’ section of this page. If you would be interested in attending these meetings or would like further information please contact Gemma Thomas on 01482 221158 or email gemma.thomas@eastridingfa.com
