The Scheme aims to support existing female coaches on a one-to-one basis by pairing them with another coach from the East Riding who will be able to offer ongoing support and advice in the form of telephone calls, emails and occasional informal meetings. The assigned coach will also be available to observe one or two of your coaching sessions throughout the year at your club, in an environment in which you are comfortable to provide you with some feedback enabling you to share ideas and become more reflective in your own coaching methods. In return you would also be invited to observe their coaching sessions to gain experience and perhaps pick up some ideas. The scheme is designed to be very flexible and will be managed entirely by you and your paired coach although support will be available from the County FA.
At present we have identified five female coaches that are available to mentor coaches like yourself that are interested in the programme. These coaches are all either Level 2 or Level 3 coaches and have all completed a Mentoring Adults Course to ensure that you receive the best possible support throughout your involvement in the scheme.
The aim is not to pressurise coaches to progress but to encourage them to increase their knowledge and confidence whilst supporting individuals to achieve their own coaching potential, whatever level or capacity this may be. You will be free to leave the scheme at any point without question. You will be under no obligation to commit for a set period of time.
