The FA Community Awards 2011        Presented by McDonald’s

This is the second annual FA Community Awards, presented by McDonalds, to recognise and reward the people and organisations driving grassroots football.

Grassroots football volunteers, coaches and clubs from across the county are on the road to Wembley after being successful in this year's FA Community Awards presented by McDonald’s.

The East Riding County FA judging panel picked the following 8 deserving candidates as 2011 County Award Winners:
• Outstanding Contribution to Community Football- Wally Owst (Hull Sunday Football League)
• FA Charter Standard League of the Year- Hull Boys Sunday Football League
• FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year- Costello FC
• FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year- Rockford Rangers
• FA Charter Standard Club of the Year- Dunnington FC
• Volunteer of the Year- Carol Holcombe (Cottingham Rangers Ability Counts)
• Young Volunteer of the Year- Robert Hubbard (Beverley Whitestar)
• Coach of the Year- Chris Holbrough (North Ferriby United)

All County Award Winners will receive:
 Certificate
 1 pair of general admission tickets to The FA Community Shield courtesy of McDonalds
 FA & McDonalds gift

The 2010 ERCFA Community Award Winners were:

• Outstanding Contribution: Keith Pinder (Hull Boys Sunday Football League)
• Charter Standard Community Club: Beverley Whitestar FC
• Charter Standard Development Club: Long Riston FC
• Charter Standard Club: Withernsea AFC
• Volunteer of the Year: Norman Harris (Driffield & District Football League)
• Young Volunteer of the Year: Lauren Asquith (Hull College Girls Centre of Excellence)
• Coach of the Year: Alan Hemingway (Beverley Whitestar FC)

Credit must also go to the many other quality nominations which meant the judging panel had some tough decisions to make in several of the categories. Many thanks to all the people who took the time to nominate their club or volunteers within their club for the hard work and dedication they put into grassroots football that often goes unnoticed. The number of nominations received was very high as was the quality of these.

The 2009 Charter Standard Awards Winners were as follows:-

Charter Standard Club of the Year – Beverley Whitestar FC
Charter Standard Adult Club of the Year – Easington Utd
Charter Standard Development Club of the Year – Sproatley Juniors
Charter Standard Community Club of the Year – Hessle Rangers Charter Standard Coach of the Year – Martin Oldroyd (Sproatley Juniors)
Charter Standard Administrator of the Year – John Gibson (Bridlington Rangers)
