Charter Standard Clubs

Charter Standard ClubsThe FA Charter Standard scheme is the FA kite mark award which looks to provide recognition to those affiliated clubs who demonstrate:

o Required standards
o Raising standards
o Rewarding Quality

There are four levels of Awards for Clubs

FA CHARTER STANDARD ADULT CLUB

• Club Constitution
• Codes of Conduct
• Recent Copy of Committee Minutes
• Copy of AGM Minutes
• Copy of Annual Accounts
• Copy of Public Liability Insurance
• Copy of Emergency First Aid Qualification Certificate

FA CHARTER STANDARD CLUB

As Adult Club Including…
• Equity Policy
• Club Welfare Officer
• Copy of FA Coaching Qualifications
One coach with each team needs an FA Level One Certificate in Coaching Football, in date Safeguarding Children, in date Emergency First Aid and FA CRB check
• At least one coach within the club needs to have completed the FA Age Appropriate Introductory Module

FA CHARTER STANDARD DEVELOPMENT CLUB

As Club Including…
• At least 5 teams in 4 different age groups
• At least one coach with FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate
• At least one coach who has completed the FA Youth Award Module One
• At least one coach who has completed the FA Mentoring Adults Course
• 3 Year Football Development Plan

FA CHARTER STANDARD COMMUNITY CLUB

As Development Club Including…
• At least 10 teams ( To include; Mini Soccer, Youth, Adult, Min 1 Male/ Female Team)
• 5 Year Football Development Plan

Hidden Benefits

o Support with funding applications to the Football Foundation
o Use of the FA Charter Standard logo on club correspondance which can help in: Attracting Sponsors, Attracting Volunteers and Gaining Members/Players

 County FA Support for FA Charter Standard Clubs

o In service to include; coaching demonstrations, support with funding applications, administrations support sessions

o Access to subsidised Coach Education Programme E.g. Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Age Appropriate

o FA Awards Programme

However maybe the most important benefit is the recognition, from The FA, that the club provides a safe, quality experience for its players.

The East Riding County FA can provide practical support, resources and training courses to assist clubs to achieve FA Charter Standard.
